芸術は、時々の時代や社会をアーカイブし、その価値を未来へ託す役割を担ってきました。これは、時代と向き合って作品を作り出す作家と、作品を見極める鑑賞者の、両者によって紡がれてきた活動の集積（＝歴史）と言い換えることもできます。MOMENT Contemporary Art Center は、こうした芸術活動を通じて人々の日常生活の中に非日常の瞬間を生み出す場所として、2025年2月に奈良市三条通にオープンいたします。

スペース設計｜松井亮（松井亮建築都市設計事務所）
建築家。1977 年滋賀県生まれ。2004 年に東京芸術大学大学院修士課程を修了、同年に松井亮建築都市設計事務所を設立。主な受賞暦は、AR House Awards 2015 / HighlyCommended・次点（英），CONTRACTWORLD AWARD 2010 / 最優秀賞（独），AITAWARD（独），Restaurant and bar design awards（英），グッドデザイン賞 / BEST100（日），JCD デザインアワード / 金賞・銀賞・審査員賞（日），JID AWARD（日），他多数。

Art has long played a vital role in archiving the essence of di fferent eras and societies, preservingtheir values for future generations. MOMENT Contemporary Art Center embraces this enduring roleof art as a means to connect people with the spirit of their times. Opening in February 2025 on SanjoStreet in Nara City, the center will serve as a space where ext raordinary moments emerge withineveryday life through the transformative power of artistic endeavors.

Ryo Matsui | Ryo Matsui Architects
Born in Shiga in 1977, Ryo Matsui graduated from Tokyo Universi ty of the Arts in2004 and founded Ryo Matsui Architects in the same year. He has received ARHouse Awards 2015 / Silver Prize (UK), CONTRACTWORLD AWARD 2010 / GrandPrize (Germany), AIT AWARD (Germany), Restaurant and bar design awards (UK),Good Design Award / BEST 100 (Japan), JCD Design Award / Gold P rize, SilverPrize and Jury Prize (Japan), JID AWARD (Japan), and many more.
