MOMENTでは2025年2月1日より、今西真也「あした、しならい、いき」を開催いたします。

MOMENT Contemporary Art Center 初の展覧会として、今西真也による個展「あした、しらない、いき」を開催いたします。奈良市出身、在住の今西はキャンバスに油絵具を塗り重ね、それを抉りとるようにして独特の筆致を残す絵画を制作しています。鑑賞者の距離や視点によって見え方が様々に変化する今西の作品からは、人々の認識の曖昧さ、目に映るものの不確かさを感じ取ることができます。この機会にぜひご高覧ください。

今西真也
1990 年奈良市生まれ、在住。2015年京都造形芸術大学大学院芸術表現専攻ペインティング領域修了。近年の展示に個展「SHINYA IMANISHI」（2024年anonymousbuilding/東京）、anonymous art project「collective 2024」（OMOTESANDO CROSSING PARK/東京）、「2023年度新収蔵品展」（2024年、豊田市美術館）、個展「キラキラと曖昧」（2024年、nca|nichido contemporary art/東京）、個展「かー　ーか　かー」（2021年、nca | nichido contemporary art/東京）などがある。anonymous collection AWARD受賞（2023年）、公益財団法人松浦芸術文化財団令和4年度現代芸術家助成、シェル美術賞2020グランプリ受賞、第31回ホルべイン・スカラシップ奨学生（2016年）など。

MOMENT will be hosting Shinya IMANISHI's "Uncharted territories" from February 1, 2025.

As the inaugural exhibition of MOMENT Contemporary Art Center, we are pleased to present a solo exhibition by Shinya Imanishi titled "Uncharted territories." Born and based in Nara City, Imanishi creates distinctive paintings by layering oil paints onto canvas and carving to create unique textures and strokes. Depending on the viewer’s distance and perspective, the appearance of his works shifts, evoking a sense of ambiguity and visual uncertainty.

Shinya IMANISHI
Born in 1990, Nara City, Japan. Currently resides in Nara.
Graduated from Kyoto University of the Arts, Graduate School of Art and Design Studies, specializing in Painting in 2015.
